A widad residency launching ceremony and breaking fast ceremony was organized by the Student Residency Representative Council in collaboration with Student Affairs Department for the first time at Kuantan Riverfront Apartment. The ceremony was attended by 250 students also attended by Yang Hormat Dato' Dr. Hj. Nasir bin Mat Dam, Vice Chancellor of Widad University College, En. Mohd Faroq bin Dato 'Ibrahim, Chief Operating Officer of Widad Education Sdn. Bhd., Associate Professor Hjh. Muslina binti Hj. Md Muis, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Student Affairs) of Widad University College, as well as other dignitaries, deans, deputy deans and representative lecturers. The ceremony was organized to inaugurate the new name for the Widad student residence, namely Widad Student Residence, in addition to celebrating the month of Ramadan. Apart from strengthening the relationship between students and Widad staffs, the council was also enlivened by the handing over of the letter of appointment to the Student Residency Representative Council which was appointed in the 2022/2023 session. The main goal of this program is to provide experience to the newly appointed Student Residency Representative Council in organizing such events. Apart from training students in the aspect of leadership and creating cooperation as a team, it is also expected to be able to improve problem solving and decision making. It is hoped that more interesting programs like this will be organized by the Student Residency Representative Council in the future.
