Bachelor of Economics (Hons) programme is designed to provide a solid ground in theory and economic knowledge and improve critical and analytical skills of students.

The course is structured to produce graduates with knowledge in economics, applied statistics, development studies, administrative studies and politics.

This programme teaches students to critically analyze and solve the problems of the economic world. Students learn how to apply their skills to many different economic issues, both locally and internationally. It is intellectually challenging which aims to develop students’ abilities to analyze the economic aspects that affect communities logically.

Entry Requirements

  • + Additional Requirements (all of the below)

  • Local Students : Malaysian University English Test (MUET).
  • Option 1: Entry with Diploma / Advanced Diploma / Equivalent qualification

  • Diploma in the related area with CGPA at least 2.00 and approval from faculty.
  • Option 2: Entry with Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)

  • Pass in STPM with any 2 subjects full pass or CGPA at least 2.00 with minimum grade “C”.
  • Option 3: Entry with Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)

  • A pass in STAM with minimum grade Jayyid.
  • Option 4: Entry with Matriculation / Foundation / A-LevelEquivalent qualification

  • Pass in Matriculation / Foundation / A-Level or recognized by Malaysian Government.
  • Option 5: Other Qualification

  • Other qualification equivalent recognized by Malaysian Government.
