Restaurant management courses cover common duties of managers in food and beverage operations. Students learn about administration, accounting and human resources. They also learn the ways that managers plan, organize and market restaurants. This course is taken at the beginning of a restaurant management or hotel management program.

This diploma programme has been specifically designed keeping the business of running restaurants in mind. It will help you develop the ability to understand the key concepts of the restaurant operations and the importance of procedural knowledge to apply in real life situations. The Diploma in Restaurant Management is designed in consultation with the industry partners and experienced external examiners, providing students with the knowledge and skills highly desirable by employers.

Students can also gained their working experience as part of their programme. This invaluable experience will give our students an edge in employment and help them make good contacts within the industry.

  • 2 YEARS

Entry Requirements

  • Option 1: Entry with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia / Vokasional (SPM / SPMV)

  • Passed SPM / SPMV with 3 credits inclusive of:
    • Mathematics
    • Any other two (2) subjects
  • Option 2: Entry with Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia(SKM)

  • A pass in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in related Hospitality with CGPA of 2.0.
  • Option 3: Entry with other Equaivalent Qualification

  • Any other equaivalent qualification recognized by Ministry of Education Malaysia.

Career Pathway

Students with the Diploma in Restaurant Management qualification, will be able to work with Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) Brands (Pizza Hut) as management trainees.
