Bachelor of Economics (Honours) programme is designed to provide a solid ground in theory and economic knowledge and improve critical and analytical skills of students.

The course is structured to produce graduates with knowledge in economics, applied statistics, development studies, administrative studies and politics.

This programme teaches students to critically analyze and solve the problems of the economic world. Students learn how to apply their skills to many different economic issues, both locally and internationally. It is intellectually challenging which aims to develop students’ abilities to analyze the economic aspects that affect communities logically.

Entry Requirements

  • + Additional requirements for International Students.

  • Achieve a minimum BAND 3 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (Low B2).
  • Option 1: Entry with Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)

  • Passed STPM or equivalent with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any of the 2 subjects.
  • Option 2: Entry with Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)

  • Passed the STAM with minimum grade of Jayyid.
  • Option 3: Entry with Matriculation / Foundation

  • Passed Matriculation / Foundation from any IPTA / IPTS/ institution authorized to offer foundation program with CGPA 2.00.
  • Option 4: Entry with Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5, KKM)

  • Pass Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5, KKM) with minimum CGPA 2.0 in the relevant field.
  • Option 5: Entry with Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)

  • Entry Requirement with DKM / DVM subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval.
  • Option 6: Entry with Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)

  • Entry Requirement with DLKM subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval.
  • Option 7: Entry with Other Recognised Qualification

  • Other recognized qualifications are equivalent to that by the Government of Malaysia.
